Bark Off is an ultrasonic device that stops your dog’s annoying barking automatically.
I was really excited about Bark Off because our dog’s barking has really been getting on our nerves. I guess you could even say that the barking was cause of a lot of stress in our home.
In the past we had used those electric bark collars that would give our dog a zap if he barked. However, we quickly noticed how inhumane they were and had to stop for love of our dog.
Bark Off is different because it doesn’t hurt your dog. Instead, when your dog barks it will respond with a sound that your dog doesn’t like. Interestingly enough it seems to work after only a few barks because it uses what is known in psychology as negative reinforcement.
The best part about the product is the fact that you don’t have to do anything to maintain it. The only setup is turning it on and putting it near your dog. Once the dog barks, the device responds automatically. I guess you could say that you are training your dog to stop barking on autopilot.
One thing that I was concerned about when I was thinking about purchasing Bark Off was whether or not it would hurt my ears. What I learned later on is that it uses a frequency that humans can’t hear. This means that you and your family won’t get annoyed with the device.
All in all, I would say that the Bark Off works well. It is probably ideal for people who are being affected by their dogs barking. Whether it is an apartment or a home, it should work well wherever you use it.
