How to Become a Vampire – Vampire Picture Maker

how to become a vampireDo you want to know how to become a vampire?  There aren’t any spells or potions out here to do the trick, so you’ll have to settle for the digital solution.

This year I’ve really been getting into the Halloween spirit earlier than usual.  We’ve even got our daughter’s costume just about ready too! (usually that doesn’t get done until the hour before it gets dark on Halloween)

Today I was searching around the Internet and came across this cool tool.  It lets you morph your face into a vampire.  Pale skin, blood soaked bottom lip, darkened eyes, and all.

Check out this funny example that I found (left).  I think I have a picture of my husband that I could do that to…

I might even have one like the angry face too.  But this one looks really scary.

It’s pretty easy to use too.  You just download the tool, choose a picture, and start messing around with it.

I’ve got so many ideas beyond just using this for my own pictures.  I have a lot of friends on Facebook that will laugh when I show them what I’ve done to their faces.

I’m probably going to switch out my own facebook picture with a vampire pic for the rest of the month to follow my Halloween theme.

The only problem is that if your face already looks like a vampire, then you’re out of luck. lol

NetFlix Watch Instantly Review

Cathy and I fought over who was going to write this review because be both love the Netflix watch instantly feature.  Luckily for me, I woke up earlier than she did so here goes.

We got Netflix about 2 to 3 years ago.  At the time it was about $9 per month for two movies, which included access to the Instant library.

My Experience With Netflix on Computer

At first the instant thing was only available on the Internet which wasn’t very convenient.  After all, who really wants to get the family together in front of the 20 inch computer screen?

I found a way to hook my computer up to the television, but the picture quality didn’t look very good.

My Experience With Netflix on Xbox

Then along came the Xbox application for Netflix and that was the coolest thing I have seen in awhile.  You can open the application, look through instant movies, and then play them through the Xbox.  Some of them even come through in HD.

The only problem with the instant feature is the fact that there isn’t a way to search for movies by title.  You have to use categories.  However, you can go online and search by title, add them to your instant que, and then jump back on the Xbox to see them – too many steps if you ask me.

Come on Netflix, just add a search feature to save us all some time!

My Experience With Netflix on Wii

Awhile after they created the Xbox (about a year or two) Netflix created a version for the Wii.  This was a good idea for them because a lot of people can’t afford the Xbox so they bought the Wii instead.

Comparing the two, I’d have to definitely say that the Xbox is better.  The Wii can only show you standard definition while the Xbox is HD or DVD quality.  I’m pretty sure that it depends on your Internet connection, you be sure to check before you take my word for it.

As far as selection of movies on the watch instant feature

There is a really nice spread of movies on instant.  It seems like they add movies every two weeks or so under the new releases section. Some weeks you will see a whole slew of B movies hitting the new releases.  Other times you will see movies that are block busters, fairly new, Starz stuff, and other good quality movies.

I’ve noticed that they drop some movies from the Xbox browsing feature on occasion.  I guess they probably don’t want to have too many choices available on there because it would be overwhelming.  That is why whenever I see a movie that I might possibly watch, I add it to my Instant que.

My Overall Experience with Netflix’s Watch Instantly Feature

All in all, I would say that this feature is amazing.  It’s really redefined how we watch movies.  We used to buy lots of movies and also rent from our local movie rental store.  Not saying that we don’t still do this from time to time, but Netflix gives us a lot of options without us ever having to leave the house.

I should probably also add that there is a lot of good children’s movies on the instant feature.  My daughter loves watching the Sesame street, Dora, and other kids stuff that is available.

Why We Do This

We write reviews on here so that we can help people like ourselves avoid: scams, fraud, bad quality products, and the like.

Please send us an email if you have used a good or bad product and would like the world to know about it.
